Privacy Policy

ChoiceKeeper ("we") is a web app published by Pratik Poddar, an individual developer, that adds per-choice limits to Tally (tally.so) forms. This policy explains what data ChoiceKeeper accesses, why, and what happens to it.

Your Tally API key

To work, ChoiceKeeper needs a Tally API key that you create in your Tally settings and paste into ChoiceKeeper. Tally API keys give full access to your Tally account; Tally does not offer narrower permissions. We use the key only to: list your forms so you can pick one; read the forms you connect; change the hidden setting and label of the choices you set limits on; create, check and remove the webhook ChoiceKeeper uses on those forms; and read submissions on those forms to recount. We never use it for anything else, and we never edit other questions or other forms. The key is stored encrypted and is deleted when you disconnect or delete your account. You can revoke it in Tally at any time.

Data we store

We do not store other answers from your forms.

How we use it

Only to run ChoiceKeeper: count responses, hide and show choices, send you alerts, and, if you turn it on, email respondents who got a choice that was already full. We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Service providers

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. API keys and webhook secrets are encrypted at rest and never logged. Webhooks from Tally are verified with a signature before they are counted.

Retention and deletion

Disconnecting a form removes our webhook, restores the choices we hid, and deletes that form's counts within 30 days. Deleting your account deletes your API key immediately and the rest of your data within 30 days. Email pratik.phodu@gmail.com to request deletion or a copy of your data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for material changes, email account holders.
